example of a typical setup using the Control Center
The Control Center has been designed to connect up to seven separate AV devices and output the
Audio/Video signal to a single input on the TV/Hi-Fi. Each device can be selected independently of each
other. Once a device has been connected there is no need to remove any of the cables when selecting an
input. Figure 2 shows a typical AV set up using the Control Center.
figure.2 (Note: The devices connected in this illustration are for reference only. Any suitable device may be connected to the Input Channels.)
Ethernet
Connect the Ethernet cable to an Ethernet Input Socket.
Note: Your modem must either be a DSL or a cable modem. Do not
use the Control Center with
a
standard telephone modem.
IMPORTANT: Before connecting your modem to the Control Center,
make sure you have a valid internet account.
IMPORTANT:
Each input connection will only correspond to the matching output connection.
For example, a Component Video cable attached to Component Video Input 1 can only be viewed via the
Component Video Output Socket and cannot be displayed via the S-Video, Composite Video or Stereo
Audio RCA Output Sockets

The Control Center features an audible bleep for confirming selection of each Input Channel. The sound can
be toggled ON and OFF by pressing the SET button for 2 seconds until the icon appears on the display. Then
use the + and - buttons to select either ON or OFF.
1) Connect the DC Power Adapter to the DC 12V IN located on the rear panel of the Control Center.
2)Connect the desired output of the Control Center to your television, using the Component Video,
S-Video or RCA Phono Cables supplied.
Note: If you are using Component or S-Video Cables as the video output, you will need to connect the
RCA Phono (White and red) or Digital Optical Cable to the TV/Hi-Fi to receive audio. Component and
S-Video connectors do not carry an audio signal.
ethernet connections
3)Connect your AV devices to inputs 1 to 7 ensuring the power is switched off on all devices before
connecting.
When setting up more than one games console to the Ethernet ports of the Control Center (ex.
PlayStation®2 and an Xbox), ensure that each console is connected to a separate input channel using an
Ethernet cable (RJ-45). You will also need to connect a Cable/DSL Modem to the output Ethernet port as
shown in the figure 3:
4)Switch on your TV and select the “External” input channel. (Refer to your television user guide for more
details).
figure 3

on your TV has been selected (Refer to your TV instruction manual for more information).
Tampering with this product will invalidate your JOYTECH warranty.

important health warnings
Photosensitive Seizure Warning
The Control Center is on, but there is no sound from my TV:
Check that the AV device is connected to the Control Center using EITHER the left and right Stereo Audio
RCA Input Sockets or Digital Optical Inputs.
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, includ-
ing flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures
or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures”
while watching video games.
Make sure that the volume settings on your TV and AV devices are set correctly. Component and
S-Video connectors do not transmit an audio signal.
When I view a device I get background interference:
These seizures may have a variety of symptoms, including lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face
twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness.
Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or
striking nearby objects.
Ensure that all AV devices that are connected to the Control Center and not being viewed are switched
OFF as certain devices emit strong signals, which can interfere with the AV device being viewed.
Check that the connections between AV devices are secure.
Immediately stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
Parents should watch for or ask their children about the above symptoms - children and teenagers are more
likely than adults to experience these seizures.
battery care
Taking the following precautions may reduce the risk of photosensitive epileptic seizures:
Incorrect use of batteries can result in battery leakage or explosion. When using batteries, be sure to follow
these instructions:
Sit further away from the screen
Use a smaller TV screen
Make sure that the plus and minus terminals of the batteries are inserted in the correct directions.
Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries.
Play in a well-lit room
Do not play when you are drowsy or fatigued
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable type batteries.
If you or any of your relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before
playing. We also advise you to take regular breaks of 15 minutes every hour.
Remove the batteries when the product will not be used for an extended period of time.
If the battery has leaked, be sure to carefully remove all residue before inserting new batteries.
