TOASTER SENSING MECHANISM
Your toaster is equipped with a unique toasting mechanism which senses bread

any time to check toast color. The best toast is made with bread a day or two old.

during first few uses from oils used in manufacturing. This is normal for a new

between Light and Dark toast color settings. Toast thin-sliced bread on the lighter
toast color settings.

down in toasting position. Pause briefly to allow toasting mechanism to cool. It should
automatically reset and you may continue toasting.
BAGEL TOASTING INSTRUCTIONS

outside heating elements. The result is a perfectly toasted bagel or English muffin, the
cut side toasted and the bottom side warm and moist.

It should automatically reset and you may continue toasting.
ELECTRIC POWER: If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your toaster
may not operate properly. When possible, toaster should be operated on a separate
electrical circuit than other operating appliances.
CONVENIENCE FOODS TOASTING
Today there are many varieties of packaged convenience food available, both frozen
and non-frozen (shelf pastry), which can be toasted in your toaster.
Since individual’s tastes vary, it is difficult to recommend exact toasting settings,
however, after a little experimentation you will discover the best setting for your needs.
You may also wish to refer to the heating instructions on the food package.
NON-FROZEN SHELF PASTRY
Move color control to a lighter color setting. It may be necessary to vary the position of
the color control to compensate for thick foods or those which contain fillings.
FROZEN FOODS
Move the color control to a darker color setting. Due to variation in shape, some items
will require different settings. Moving the color control to the right will provide a longer
toasting cycle. Thawing frozen foods before toasting will help ensure that the inside of
the food is adequately cooked and will prevent the outside from burning. Again, it may
be necessary to experiment to accommodate individual tastes.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unplug toaster.
2. Wipe outside with soft, damp cloth when toaster is cool. Polish with soft, dry cloth.
3. Open crumb tray in bottom of toaster and brush out crumbs.
Any servicing requiring disassembly other than the above cleaning should be
