Description
Figure 1
The ATP3 is an amplified speaker system
featuring a subwoofer for extended low
frequency response. The system is
especially designed for multimedia
computer applications. The unit is
comprised of a subwoofer and two
satellite speakers, and features separate
VOLUME, BASS and TREBLE controls. The
satellite speakers are uniquely designed
to provide full tweeter and mid-bass
response in a slim profile housing that
complements flat panel as well as
standard monitors. The satellite speakers
are magnetically shielded and can be
placed close to a monitor without
distorting images.
Volume Control: Turn the Volume
Control clockwise to increase overall
volume level. Turn counter-clockwise to
decrease volume.
Bass Control: The Bass Control adjusts
the volume level of the low subwoofer
frequencies. To increase Bass, turn the
control clockwise. To decrease Bass, turn
the control counter-clockwise.
Treble Control: Treble frequencies are
emitted from the satellite speakers. To
increase treble (high frequencies), turn
the control clockwise. To decrease treble,
turn the control counter-clockwise.
Placement of the Speakers and
Subwoofer
Notice: To avoid a “pop” sound when
pulling out the power plug from the AC
outlet or turning off power from a master
switch, first turn off the ATP3 with the
ON/OFF switch.
All stereo information is heard from the
satellite speakers. The satellite speakers
are magnetically shielded and can be
placed close to the monitor without
distorting images. Best stereo effect is
obtained by placing the satellite speakers
as far apart as practical. The subwoofer
contains no stereo information and sound
is non-directional. As a result, the
subwoofer does not have to be placed in
any particular relation to the satellite
speakers. Placing the subwoofer on the
floor close to a wall or corner of a room
provides maximum bass efficiency. The
subwoofer is not magnetically shielded
and should not be placed close to the
monitor
Use of Controls (See Figure
1)
Power On/Off: The ON/OFF switch is
part of the volume control. Turn the
volume control clockwise to turn power
