Ô NOTES Ô
that corresponds with the FRS radio
that you want to charge (21-1902/1903/
1904/1905). Insert the adapter into the
charging bay first, then insert the
corresponding FRS radio into the
charging bay. The green LED blinks to
indicate that the batteries are charging.
Ô
• Fully discharge Ni-Cd batteries before
charging. Repeated partial discharging and
recharging may shorten battery life. This
does not apply to Ni-MH batteries.
• It is normal for batteries to become warm
while charging.
• If the LED changes to RED after several
seconds, the radio may not be inserted
firmly.
You can use this charger to charge Ni-
Cd and Ni-MH batteries of different
capacities. The charging time depends
on battery capacity. After the batteries
are fully charged, the LED stops
• For batteries with a capacity of less than
600mA, the charging time may be less than
50 minutes and the batteries can be warmer
(than batteries with a capacity greater than
600mA) during charging.
Charging Bays
Thank you for purchasing the RadioShack
blinking and lights a steady green. The
following chart lists estimated charge
times.Ô
• Use only the supplied adapter. Use of other
adapters may damage your charger.
Dual-Bay FAST Charger for GMRS/FRS
2-Way Radios. This charger works with
these RadioShack GMRS/FRS radios:
21-1902, 21-1903, 21-1904, and 21-1905.
Your dual-bay fast charger enables you to
charge a pair of GMRS/FRS radios
simultaneously. Rechargeable AA/AAA,
Ni-Cd/Ni-MH batteries are fully charged in
about 2 hours (50–120 minutes).
• If dead batteries, non-rechargeable
batteries, or batteries installed in the wrong
direction are detected, the LED changes to
red and stops charging. When charging two
radios, if one of the radios is turned on, both
radios enter the slow charging mode and
may not be fully charged after hours of
charging. For the fastest charge, turn both
radios off.

the charging status.
• Charge batteries in a location that is
between 50°F and 86°F (10°C and 30°C). If
the location is too cold, the batteries cannot
be fully charged. If the location is too warm,
the batteries may be damaged permanently
and lose their ability to charge.
